Days of Glory (2006) is a fantastic joint Franco-Algerian film about the Algerian soldiers who fought for France in WWII. Superbly written, acted, and directed, this gives a great glimpse into the fractured nature of Algeria's view of it's past. One can see the passion and drive of the Algerians who fought to liberate France even as their own homeland remained a colony and they were treated as a subject people.
